NASA released a video of a comet, flown close to Earth (VIDEO)

The US space agency NASA has mounted radar images from the video of the comet P / 2016 BA14, which flew close to the Earth.
As reported on the official website of the agency, the images were obtained in the period from 21 to 23 March. During this period, the celestial body was at a distance of 4.1 million to 3.6 million kilometers from our planet.
Scientists have found that the diameter of Comet P / 2016 BA14 is 1 km away. It has an irregular shape and rotates around its axis with a period of 35-40 hours.
Employees of the agency was able to study the characteristics of a celestial body with a resolution of up to eight meters per pixel.
Comet P / 2016 BA14 also observed with an infrared telescope IRTF (Infrared Telescope Facility), installed in Hawaii.
Comet represents less than 3% of the incident sunlight. The color of its surface resembles asphalt.
