US Navy officer was detained on charges of espionage

US Navy officer has been charged with espionage, passing classified information and providing false information, CNN television reported.

It is noted that the military, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested 8 months ago, but it has become known only on April 8, the pre-trial hearing.

According to a senior official in the US administration who is familiar with the investigation, the officer was detained at the airport of the Pacific Command of the US armed forces while trying to fly to another country.

It is currently detained at the guardhouse in the city of Chesapeake, Virginia. According to court records, the officer was listed as part of the patrol and reconnaissance units, with its headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia.

Also, the military charged with secret transport of cargo, prostitution and adultery.

The investigation of the case are engaged in Service Navy Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
