EU tomorrow lowers roaming prices before its cancellation in June 2017

Since April 30, the EU will be reduced prices for mobile roaming services.

This is stated in the report of the European Commission.

So, within the framework of visits to EU countries, users will pay roaming for 5 cents more than in the framework of the domestic tariff per minute for outgoing calls. An SMS-message will cost only 2 cents more than at home, and megabytes of Internet traffic - 5 cents more (excluding VAT).



As noted, this is a short transition period before June 2017, when the Europeans in other EU countries will pay as much as in their own country.

"Now we come to the finish line for the abolition of roaming charges in 2017. It will not only save money in Europe, we are talking about reducing the barriers to a single digital market." - Said vice-president of the European Commission for a single digital market, Andrus Ansip.
