Seven people injured in pipeline explosion in Alabama

Locals told us that there was a powerful explosion, which felt the vibration in residential buildings

Seven people were injured in the explosion of the gas pipeline in the US state of Alabama. Reported channel WBRC.

"The explosion occurred on the pipeline Colonial Pipeline and was about a mile west of the incident from previous" - wrote on Twitter Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.

As a result of the incident, seven people were burned. Victims were sent to local hospitals, some of them delivered by helicopter. Colonial Pipeline Company announced that ceased operation of the pipeline in this sector. Locals told us that there was a powerful explosion, which felt the vibration in residential buildings.
