He was detained at the airport in Pyongyang - he tried to leave the country. The reason for his arrest is unknown.
The man became the third US citizen detained in North Korea, said Yonhap. Before that DPRK authorities detained an American student and pastor Otto Varmbiera with dual citizenship Kim Dong heard. They were sentenced to prison terms on charges of sabotage acts against the DPRK.
