The US scientists raised lambs in plastic uterus

A team of researchers at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, led by Alan Flake is developing a system of plastic artificial womb.

Most artificial uterus is a sterile, sealed plastic bag corresponding volume, which is filled with saline and simulating amniotic fluid.

In their tests, doctors have used eight lambs 105-120 days during fetal development. This is equivalent to An 23-24 weeks of life in humans.

All animals survived and four weeks to "mature" formed a healthy, ready-to-birth bodies.

The heart of a growing kid pumping blood through the umbilical cord, carrying it through hazoobminnyk and an artificial lung. It also added to the blood needed medications.

Now the authors are ready to proceed to the most important stage - the creation of an artificial uterus for human infants.
