According to the newspaper, the recording of telephone conversations in New York is not prohibited if at least one party knows about it.

Representatives of the White House and the Trump Organization did not respond to a request to comment on the publication of the information. However, Trump's attorney Michael Cohen said that over the years with him, he "never saw a recording device on his phone and do not know of any case where he (Trump) recorded the conversation."

It is noted that the staff Trump said on condition of anonymity because they are afraid to disclose their names. One of them said that he signed an agreement on confidentiality.
