The chests were found on the German ship SS Minden sunken in 1939. They could have about 4 tons of gold belonging to Nazi Germany.
"The British company Advanced Marine Services has found chests, which can have up to 4 tons of precious metal, which is considered a gold from the South American banks", - said in a message
It was believed that gold aboard the ship was sent from Brazil to Germany.
According to the publication, the ship sank in 120 miles southeast of Iceland on September 24, 1939, shortly after the start of the Second World War.
It is reported that the vessel allegedly ordered the flood Führer Adolf Hitler when it was noticed by the British Navy.
Advanced Marine Services has asked the Government of Iceland to obtain permission to investigate the findings.
At the same time, Iceland's coast guard accused the researchers of having searched without permission.
