Japan wants to shoot North Korean missiles with lasers
Japan's Ministry of Defense will create a system for intercepting ballistic missiles with lasers.
This is reported by the Japanese newspaper "Iomiki".
Japanese military are ready to spend on the system 8.7 billion yen ($ 79 million). A similar system should cost the budget much less than the interceptor missiles that are used for such purposes around the world.
The laser must strike at the enemy's missile immediately after launch. This should if not destroy the rocket, then bring it out of order.
This morning, information appeared on the next test of the thermonuclear warhead for North Korean missiles.
Recall that on August 29, North Korea launched a ballistic missile that flown over Japan and fell to the sea. Read more about the incident in the article "The Apostrophe" " The North Korean Rocket over Japan: Private Investigations The United States pointed to important points."
