During the exhibition MSPO-2017 in Kielce (Poland), Ukrainian and Polish defense companies presented their joint development - the rocket system ZRN-01 "Stokrotka" ("Margaret").
This is reported by the Polish edition of defense24.pl.

The "Daisies" combines 80 mm caliber aircrafts with ground-based launcher equipped with modern Topaz fire control system.
According to the publication, the Polish company AREX and the Ukrainian company "Artem", which is part of the "Ukroboronprom", participated in the development of the system.
As a platform for the missile system, the developers chose the truck STAR 265M2. However, the launcher and fire control system can be installed on other platforms, including armored vehicles.

New Russian Ambassador To U.S. Says Ready To Improve Relations

New Russian Ambassador To U.S. Says Ready To Improve Relations
Russia's new ambassador to the United States, arriving at a time of heightened tensions between the two countries, says Moscow is ready to take "concrete" steps to improve ties with the United States.
Russian state-run news agencies reported that Ambassador Anatoly Antonov presented his credentials to U.S. President Donald Trump on September 8, just days after the latest chapter in a raging tit-for-tat diplomatic dispute between Moscow and Washington.
"I have just been received by President Trump to hand over my credentials. On my part, I told him that we hope for improvement in relations between our countries," Antonov said, according to Russian media. "The atmosphere was good, constructive, and friendly."
U.S. officials have not yet commented on the ambassador's meeting with Trump.
The United States on August 31 ordered the closure of Russia's consulate in San Francisco and trade annexes in Washington and New York.
The U.S. action came after Moscow ordered the United States to reduce its personnel at diplomatic facilities in Russia to 455, which represented a cut of about 755 staff members.
Antonov, a veteran diplomat who is under sanctions by the European Union for his role in Russia's interference in Ukraine, did not speak directly to the diplomatic row, only saying that "we want our relations to be trusting, mutually respectful, equitable, and certainly mutually beneficial."
Before his meeting, the ambassador said that "it's highly regrettable the Russian-U.S. relations are going through this upheaval now, right at the moment when international problems we could resolve together with the United States are piling up."
During his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump had repeatedly expressed wishes for better relations with Russia and often praised President Vladimir Putin.
But, even prior to the latest diplomatic dispute, several issues have prevented much progress in bilateral ties................

Russian resolution on peacekeepers in the Donbass did not find support in the UN Security Council
Members of the UN Security Council do not see the point in working on the proposed format of Russia
The draft resolution of the Russian Federation regarding the UN peacekeeping mission in eastern Ukraine did not find support among the members of the UN Security Council. Volodymyr Yelchenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, told about this in an interview with Ukrinform .
"Today, practically, none of the members of the Security Council, in addition to Russia itself, has not spoken out in favor of their ideas. Someone just kept silent. And the overwhelming majority said that he sees no sense in working on exactly the format that Moscow offers, "- commented on the situation in the Soviet Union, a Ukrainian representative.
In late August, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he plans to present the idea of deploying a peacekeeping mission in the Donbass to the UN General Assembly in September.
September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he agrees to deploy UN peacekeepers only on the delimitation line in the Donbass to ensure the security of the observers of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. After that, Russia sent a draft resolution on placement of peacekeepers in the Donbass to the UN leadership.
Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Volodymyr Yelchenko stated that in the draft resolution submitted by Russia there is no peacekeeping .
Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass Iryna Gerashchenko stated that Putin is trying to distort the initiative of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the deployment of UN peacekeepers throughout the territory of Russia's temporarily occupied Donbas to monitor disarmament of illegal armed groups and militants.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is convinced that Russia is trying to distort the very idea and purpose of introducing a peacekeeping operation in the Donbass .
According to preliminary information, placing the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass will cost over $ 1 billion a year .
The Ukrainian delegation submitted to the UN Security Council a draft resolution on placement of peacekeepers in the Donbas /

The General Staff voiced new data on the number of Putin troops in the Donbas
At the time, there are about six thousand Russian soldiers controlled by the militants of the Donbas.
This was announced by the Speaker of the Armed Forces General Staff Vladislav Seleznev in an interview with Radio Liberty.
"Up to 6,000 Russian troops are in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donbas and up to 40,000 Russian-terrorist militants, as well as local marginal forces, performing tasks in the first and second army corps, which are functionally subordinated to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In fact, they carry out the role of occupation troops on the territory of Ukraine ", - the representative of the General Staff speaks.
According to him, Russian officers carry out regular rotation in the ORDLO.

Yelchenko: Russian delegation to the UN changed dramatically
The new permanent representative of the Russian Federation at the UN, Vasyl Nebenzi, does not have such an unbreakable aggression against Ukraine, which was from his predecessor.
According to Volodymyr Yelchenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, as the Censor .NET reports , this was stated in an interview with Ukrinform .
"Talking about the change of tactics is probably too early, the new postpred of Russia works for a month,
but it is noticeable that the style has changed dramatically, and I would say for the better. This, of course, does not mean changing Russia's position, but there is no such impudence and unpopular aggression as regards Ukraine, which was constantly shown with great pleasure by the late Mr. Churkin, "said Volodymyr Yelchenko, commenting on the tactics of the Russian delegation in defending their own interests at the UN.
