One of the most famous business newspapers in the United States discontinues printing in Europe and Asia
This is stated on the website of the publication.
The Wall Street Journal decided to stop publishing in some parts of the world. This weekend, the latest issue of the issue in Europe, and the weekend will be on sale the latest issue of the Asian version of the newspaper.
The newspaper notes that this is due to a significant drop in sales of printed versions abroad and a decrease in advertising revenue in print media, despite the fact that the digital version of the publication attracts more subscribers.
Thus, the closure of paper versions of newspapers will be part of the reorganization of The Wall Street Journal, which intends to pay more attention to the development of the Internet version.
The Wall Street Journal clarifies that the staff of European and Asian editions of the newspaper have been transferred to other posts, and now the authors and editors will create content for regional versions of sites that traditionally pay more attention to local business news.
The Wall Street Journal is issued by Dow Jones & Company (part of the News Corp.) since 1889. The Asian version of the edition appeared in 1976, and in 1983 the European edition of the newspaper was launched.
