The Australian Government received a letter from North Korea demanding distancing itself from the administration of US President Donald Trump.
This is reported by the BBC.
The letter condemns the statements of the American leader.
Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull said that the letter was also sent to other countries.
According to him, it has shown that diplomatic pressure on North Korea is working, despite the fact that the document is written in a DPRK-like manner.
The one-page letter was sent through the Embassy of North Korea in Indonesia and signed by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of Pyongyang.
He appeals to other governments to abandon the "abusive and reckless actions of the Trump administration," saying that the United States can be held responsible for a "terrible nuclear catastrophe."
Turnbull, in turn, said that North Korea was responsible for the escalation of tension "threats to launch nuclear missiles in Japan, South Korea and the United States."
Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop called the letter "an unprecedented" step by North Korea.
On October 17, the DPRK declared that a nuclear war could begin at any moment.
On October 16, the European Union introduced new sanctions against North Korea through the country's nuclear program.
On October 15, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Trump would seek a diplomatic decision on the DPRK before the "fall of the first bomb".
On October 10, the EU Council increased EU sanctions against the DPRK in response to "North Korea's nuclear arsenal activity and the development of ballistic missiles, for violating and explicit disregard of previous Security Council resolutions" in the framework of the UN Security Council decision.
