US President Donald Trump believes that maintaining good relations with Russia is a good thing.

He wrote about this on his Twitter page.

"If all the haters and stupid people understand that good relations with Russia are good, not a bad thing, I want to solve the problems with North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can help a lot," he wrote.



Trump also added that he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the APEC summit and they had a "good discussion about Syria." He hopes to improve the situation in Syria, as well as to make progress on North Korea with the help of China.
