According to The Washington Post, it is expected that the new head of the NSA will be appointed by President Donald Trump this month. His candidacy must be approved by the US Senate.
Director of the NSA Rogers appointed Truman's predecessor Barack Obama in January 2014.
A 30-year-old naval officer previously led the Pacific Fleet reconnaissance operations, and also headed the US Navy cyber command.
Recall the book by journalist Michael Woolff "Fire and Fury: The White House Trump" was released on January 5th.
The book tells about personal life, habits and other facts about the 45th President of the United States.
