Jim Carrey left Facebook because of Russia's interference in American elections
Wed Feb 07, 2018 1:16 pm
Actor Jim Carrey deleted his page on the social network Facebook through Russia's interference in America's elections.
He announced this on Twitter.
"I sell my Facebook shares and delete the page because Facebook has benefited from Russia's interference in our election, and they have not done anything to correct the situation," wrote Carrie.
He called on other investors who care about the future to follow his example. He also launched the hashtag #unfriendfacebook (offfront Facebook). In a post on Twitter, Carrie attached a picture of the founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg with the signature "Feykbuk".
Recall that the FBI suspects Russia of distributing fake money on the day of the US presidential election. It was reported that the social network Facebook revealed evidence of Russian activity in the social network and altered the algorithms.
It is noted that for the period from June 2015 to May 2017, about 3000 ads were posted for $ 100,000. This ad was linked to 470 pages and accounts linked with each other and acted, most likely, from Russia.
On September 18, Facebook provided the US Attorney General with account information on advertising with the Russian Federation.

I’m dumping my @facebook stock and deleting my page because @facebook profited from Russian interference in our elections and they’re still not doing enough to stop it. I encourage all other investors who care about our future to do the same. #unfriendfacebook pic.twitter.com/KHWgZzhhmp
