Police in Thailand detained a Russian Sergei Medvedev suspected of involvement in an international hacking network that was engaged in fraud. He was detained in Bangkok at the request of the FBI.
As informs Tsensor.NET with reference to DW, reported on Friday, February 9, the newspaper Bangkok Post.
Medvedev also suspects that he is one of the founders of an online platform with the motto "We believe in fraud" (In Fraud We Trust), previously blocked by the FBI. He was probably used to trade arms and drugs using bitcoin.
On the accounts of the Russian found funds in the crypt, equivalent to the amount of $ 3 million.
In early February, 13 people were detained in the United States who were accused of being infrauded by the Infraud Organization's hacking group. 26 extra hackers have been charged with absenteeism. The group was created in 2010 by Ukrainian Sviatoslav Bondarenko, and in 2015, presumably, was led by Sergei Medvedev. The organization extracted and sold personal data, broke up credit and debit cards, and spread malware.
