Iran threatens to resume production of highly enriched uranium in case of US withdrawal from a nuclear treaty.
This was told to journalists by deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Behruz Kamalwandi.
According to Kamalwandi, Iran is ready to resume production of enriched up to 20% of uranium in less than 48 hours.
Recall that a new conflict around Iran's nuclear program is due to Tehran's development of new ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
In this regard, US Vice President Mike Pence threatened to leave the country on a nuclear deal with Iran . According to the American side, Tehran should provide international inspectors with an opportunity to inspect absolutely all the objects they will require for inspection. In addition, Iran is obliged to guarantee that it will never be able to obtain nuclear weapons. Washington also insists that the nuclear deal should have an indefinite duration, as well as Tehran's refusal to create ballistic missiles.
