South Korea's Foreign Minister, Kan Gyon Hwa, said that North Korean leader Kim Jong-il "gave the floor" to stick to the deal on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

"His promise is very valuable, because this is the first time that words come from the DPRK's top leader," the minister said.
She also added that she was very surprised by the decision of US President Donald Trump to meet with the North Korean leader. According to her, this "very courageous decision" demonstrates the intention of Trump "to solve the problem once and for all."
Recall Sweden has agreed to hold a historic meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-il.
On March 9, US President Donald Trump informed about the preparations for a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Yin.
Later Trump said that the DPRK promised not to conduct nuclear tests during the negotiations.
Speaking about the upcoming meeting with Kim Jong Yin, Trump said that they could "make the largest deal in the world."
