In London, skyscrapers have set up human figures to draw attention to the problem of suicide
Tue Mar 27, 2018 12:14 pm
On March 26, in the center of London on the roof of a building owned by the British Television Corporation ITV, there were statues of 84 men.
This is reported by CNN.
The figures are part of a project that aims to draw attention to the suicide problem in Britain.
They are dressed in casual clothes and are as if they are going to jump off the skyscraper. Sculptures have become part of Project 84, dedicated to preventing suicide among men under the age of 45.
The action was designed by the American artist Mark Jenkins and the charity CALM. According to them, in the UK every week 84 people commit suicide, three-quarters of them - men.
Jenkins notes that people need to overcome the embarrassment and begin to talk about the mental health of men openly to solve the problem.
Recall that on March 18 it became known that in Vladivostok Voloshin , a 29-year-old head of the regional airport, a pilot, was shot dead in his own apartment in Nikolaev . The police began criminal proceedings under Article 115.1 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder), an investigation is ongoing.
