US President Donald Trump has categorically opposed the ban on wearing and storing weapons, guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.
This is reported by "Voice of America".
Such a statement Trump made in response to the call of former justice of the Supreme Court John Paul Stevens to amend the resolution on weapons.
In particular, Stevens suggested adopting a law prohibiting the storage of semi-automatic weapons, increasing the minimum age for the acquisition of weapons from 18 to 21 years, and introducing a more complete inspection of all weapons purchasers.
Also, a former judge who is one-member of Trump, said that the second "amendment is obsolete and often misinterpreted."
"Despite the fact that very Democrats would like this to happen, and despite the words of yesterday's former judge of the Supreme Court, this will not happen," wrote President Trump in Twitter.
On March 24, in the United States, thousands of people took part in the March For Our Lives campaign on banning the free sale of weapons after the death of 17 people at the Parkland School.
Recall that on February 14, due to fire in Parkland, Florida, 17 people died. Five wounded - in a difficult condition.
The suspect is a 19-year-old former student at the Nicholas Cruise School, who had been expelled from the educational institution "through discipline". Law enforcers detained him.
Arrested on suspicion of firing at a Florida school, Nicolas Cruise found guilty.
It also became known that 19-year-old Cruz is a member of the nationalist organization of the Republic of Florida.
