Zuckerberg will testify to the US Congress on leakage of data from Facebook on April 11

The founder and general manager of the social network Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, will testify to the data leak and a scandal with Cambridge Analytica before the Energy and Trade Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.

The committee meeting will take place on April 11 at 10:00 local time.

The committee expects that the hearing "will help clarify important issues of confidentiality of data and help to understand what happens to personal information on the Internet."

Earlier, US deputies formally asked Zuckerberg to explain at a hearing in Congress, as the data of 50 million users were in the hands of Cambridge Analytica political consultations.

Also, Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg was invited to the European Parliament after a scandal over the data collection of 50 million social network users and interference with the US election.

Recall that Cambridge Analytica, an analyst with Donald Trump's US presidential campaign, illegally accessed more than 50 million Facebook users.
