Facebook introduces new rules for advertisers

Facebook intends to prevent attempts to interfere in elections in a number of countries in 2018. This was announced in social network on April 6 by its founder and executive director Mark Zuckerberg.
"Since important elections in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, India, Pakistan and other countries will become one of the main priorities for the next year in 2018, we guarantee support for positive discourse and prevent interference in these elections," Zukerberg wrote.
He noted that after the discovery of Russia's interference in the US elections, Facebook introduced new security tools and removed tens of thousands of fake accounts, and now intends to introduce two more innovations.
An advertiser who wants to run a political or advertising ad must be verified. To do this, advertisers must verify their identity and location. Any advertiser who will not be verified will not be allowed to run any political or advertising ads. Advertisers will have to show who paid for them.
This rule is being introduced in the United States and will be implemented throughout the world in the coming months. Facebook will also create an archive to search for old-fashioned political advertising and a tool that allows you to see all ads placed on the page.
Recall that Facebook scans private messages from users of the Messenger application for testing for offensive content, using the same tools as in public posts.
