The Russian embassy in the United States commented on new sanctions imposed by the United States, which will be introduced through the poisoning of Russian intelligence former Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the UK. Several priests of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) complained about the problems with obtaining Schengen visas through the Greek Consulate, which is connected with the conflict between the ROC and the Patriarchate of Constantinople because of the issue of granting autocephaly to the Ukrainian church.

Sentsov is in the Russian colony "White Bear" along the Arctic Circle in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

As you know, Oleg Sentsov, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Gennady Afanasyev and Oleksiy Chirnia were detained in the occupied Crimea on May 10, 2014. In August 2015, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Oleg Sentsov to 20 years of a strict regime colony on charges of alleged terrorist organization on the territory of the peninsula.

On May 16, 2018, the lawyer Sentsov said that his client May 14 declared an endless hunger strike. Thus, Sentsov demands the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners who are in Russian prisons.
