Typhoon fighters climbed into the sky to snatch Russian anti-submarine aircraft into the airspace of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO).
According to the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, on August 23, Royal Air Force aircraft climbed from the air base in Romania in response to the fact that the Russian Be-12 flew out of the territory of the occupied Crimea and headed south-west over the Black Sea to the NATO borders, informs Censor.NET.
The British Ministry of Defense said that this is the second week in the case of the interception of the Russian aircraft over the Black Sea.
"Our commitment to NATO and European security is inviolable. Regardless of whether you are in the sky above the Black Sea and the Baltic, or on earth in Estonia, our actions send a clear signal - we are collectively ready to respond to any act of aggression and support our allies from eastern Europe to prevent any threats, "said United Nations Secretary of Defense Gavin Williamson.
