Australia plans to refuse entry into the WikiLeaks informant Chelsea Manning

The Australian government is planning to ban the entry of a WikiLeaks informant Chelsea Manning, who was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison for the transfer of classified materials about the actions of American troops in Iraq.

Manning is planning to visit Australia during the tour, in which she speaks with speeches.

The organizers of the tour received a message about the intention of the authorities of the country to refuse her visa due to the results of the inspection. In Australia, you can refuse a visa if the applicant does not meet certain characteristics. The requirements include, in particular, the lack of criminal record.

Proponents of Manning called on the public to support her in order for the country's authorities to change their decision.

Manning must come to Australia and New Zealand in early September.

In 2010, a military man named Bradley Manning was involved in analyzing intelligence related to Iraq. Then he discovered a video that shot people from an American military aircraft. In the same year Manning unveiled a video on the Internet and confessed to this journalist Andriana Lamo.

At the same time, the intelligence began searching for the person who disclosed the data. In May 2010, Lamo Meninging was arrested on the report.

According to the charges, Manning could be sentenced to 52 years in prison, but he received 35.

The next day after the verdict was announced in 2013, Manning announced the desire to change his gender and name.

In the summer of 2016, it was reported that Chelsea Mening was  attempting suicide.

At the beginning of 2017, then-current US president Barack Obama cut Manning to 30 years in prison. In general, Chelsea Manning spent 7 years in jail, including the time until the investigation continued.

Later, US President Barack Obama  paid  tribute to Chelsea Manning, the organizer of the largest source of secret materials.

On May 17, 2017, Informal WikiLeaks Chelsea Manning was released from custody.
