Hackers stole data from British Airways passengers

Hackers stole users from the British Airways website and mobile application of Britain's largest airline.
This is reported by the Air Force.
As a result of cyberattack hackers got access to personal information and financial transactions of passengers. In general, it is about about 380 thousand transactions that have been made by airline customers. However, British Airways has emphasized that hackers did not have access to passport data of passengers or the direction of their journey.
The cyberattaca occurred between August 21 and September 5.
"The violation has been fixed and the website is in normal operation. We notified the police and the authorities. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this crime. We take care of our clients' data, "said British Airways.
The air carrier informed all customers whose information has fallen into the hands of hackers. In addition, the airline calls on all those who believe their data has also been stolen to contact specialists.
Previously, at the London airport there was a failure in the work of electronic displays : information about flights written manually on the boards.
In 2017, the London Heathrow Airport began an urgent investigation after a street vendor found a flashcard with airport security data.
