In the United States, Californians asked not to install 5G towers because they feared cancer

The city of Mill Valley in the outskirts of San Francisco has imposed restrictions on the installation of 5G towers in residential areas

According to TechCrunch, the local population's fear that 5G would cause cancer was the cause.

According to the decision of the Government of Mill Valley, 5G towers can only be built on the territory of business and shopping districts of the city. The reason for this decision was 145 letters requiring the prohibition of the installation of towers in residential areas from residents of the city, whose population is 14,000 people.

Similar prohibitions already apply in other cities of California - in particular, in San Anselmo and Ross, notes the publication.

The 5G network allows you to connect to the Internet at speeds up to 1 Gbit / s - this is three times more than in LTE networks. It is planned that the 5G network will use hundreds of thousands of sensors in the concept of the Internet of things, as well as - agricultural machinery, unmanned buses and cars. In this case, some scientists believe that the network is exposed to radiation by waves in the length of 1 mm or shortwave radiation.
