Poroshenko signed a decree on the termination of the Treaty on Friendship with the Russian Federation

Poroshenko signed a decree on the termination of the Treaty on Friendship with the Russian Federation
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the termination of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and Russia.
This was announced by the press service of the president.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after signing the decree, must declare Russia willing to terminate the Treaty of Friendship.
The Foreign Ministry also has to inform the UN, the OSCE and other international organizations about the desire to terminate the treaty.
According to the representative of the president in the Verkhovna Rada, people's deputy Irina Lutsenko, Ukraine will send a note to Russia regarding the termination of the agreement by September 30.
Also, the president has to submit to the parliament a bill on termination of the contract in accordance with Article 24 of the Law of Ukraine "On International Treaties of Ukraine".
On September 6, the National Security and Defense Council endorsed the President's proposal not to prolong the Treaty on Friendship with Russia for the next 10 years.
On August 28, President Poroshenko said Ukraine was legally prepared to terminate the treaty on friendship with Russia , concluded in 1997, and he is waiting for relevant documents from the Foreign Ministry.
In the Presidential Administration, the name "unreasonable" Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement on friendship with Russia was called .
Recall that in late December 2016, Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against an international court against Russia for breach of the Treaty on Friendship, Partnership and Cooperation.
In March this year it became known that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine would propose to the president to cancel the treaty on friendship with Russia.
The treaty on friendship and partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation was signed on May 31, 1997. The Verkhovna Rada ratified the treaty on January 14, 1998, and the State Duma on December 25, 1998. The contract came into force on April 1, 1999.
According to Article 40 of the contract, it is concluded for a period of 10 years. The agreement is automatically extended for the next 10 years, unless either party declares its desire to terminate its operation at least 6 months before the end of the 10-year period.
According to the Friendship Treaty, the principle of "strategic partnership, recognition of the inviolability of existing borders, respect for territorial integrity and mutual commitment not to use their territory to the detriment of each other" was established between the countries.
In January 2018, in the State Duma, the RF said they wanted to denounce the treaty on friendship between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in terms of recognition of borders.

The Pentagon warned Macedonia about Russia's interference in a forthcoming referendum on changing the country's name

The Pentagon warned Macedonia about Russia's interference in a forthcoming referendum on changing the country's name
US Defense Secretary James Mattheys, during a visit to Macedonia on September 17, said Russia is financing opponents of changing the country's name, which will open the way for the country to join the EU and NATO.
This was reported by Associated Press.
"They sent money and also wider campaign of influence. We must give the Macedonian people the opportunity to solve their own problems independently, "said Mattis in the capital of Macedonia, Skopje.
The Pentagon trainer stressed that NATO representatives "always make their point aloud" rather than trying to control the situation with shadow methods.
On September 30, a referendum will take place in Macedonia to change the country's name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia. Changing the name of the country is a prerequisite for Greece to stop blocking attempts to join Macedonia into NATO and the EU.
On June 17, Macedonia and Greece signed an agreement on renaming the country. Later, the Macedonian prime minister Zoran Zayev announced the new name of the country - the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
However, the President of Macedonia Georgy Ivanov vetoed the bill on the renaming of the country into the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
Ivanov also refused to sign an agreement with Greece to rename the country into the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
The agreement contains provisions for the preservation of the Macedonian adjective concerning citizenship and language, the recognition of the Macedonian language with clarification that it is Slavic, the term "Macedonian" or "citizen of the Republic of Northern Macedonia" should be used with clarification that the citizens of the country are not related to the ancient Greek civilization.
Recall that negotiations on the name of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia began on March 23.
In early March, thousands of people in the capital of Macedonia went out to the streets in protest of a possible change in the name of the country.
Macedonia has been arguing against Greece since the break-up of Yugoslavia. At the request of Greece, Macedonia was admitted to the UN in 1993 under the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). Greece insists that the name of Macedonia be changed in order to avoid confusion with the Greek province - the historical region of Macedonia, which borders on an independent republic of the same name.
Greece, therefore, blocks the entry of Macedonia into the European Union and NATO.
Earlier it was reported that Macedonia is among those countries that are hoping to join the European Union, but so far the official talks on them have not yet begun.
At the end of June 2018, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Macedonia would be invited to NATO after settling a dispute with Greece.
Subsequently, Greece agreed to rename Macedonia , which would facilitate European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the country.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel urged the Macedonians to support the change of country's name to open the way to the EU and NATO.

In the case of the North Stream 2 project, the Russian Federation will do its utmost to completely stop the transit of gas through our territory, - Klimkin

In the case of the North Stream 2 project, the Russian Federation will do its utmost to completely stop the transit of gas through our territory, - Klimkin
In the case of the project of the Russian pipeline "North Stream 2", the Russian authorities will find the reason to permanently stop using the Ukrainian gas transport system.
As informs Censor.NET with reference to the League, about this the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said at a meeting of the 7th Euro-Atlantic Forum in Kiev.
"Russia will take measures to completely stop the transit of gas through our territory - it will be conventional terrorism or something more creative," he said.
According to him, in case of termination of gas transit, the Russian Federation will continue to promote the idea of federalization of Ukraine.
"There will be completely different gaps and security problems, and Russia will go through the collapse of Ukraine", - said Klimkin.
Therefore, according to him, Kiev consistently fights against the construction of PP-2 and counts on this issue on American sanctions against the aggressor country.
We remind that North Stream 2 is a gas pipeline project from Russia to Germany, bypassing Ukraine across the Baltic Sea. 51% of shares belong to Russian Gazprom. From the end of 2019, the North Stream-2 gas transport corridor will transport about 55 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.
Opponents of the project, including Poland, the Baltic States, Ukraine, Moldova, the United States and Denmark, argue that North Stream 2 will increase EU dependence on Gazprom, which already supplies nearly one third of the EU's gas.

NATO is ready to respond in case of serious cyber attacks by the Russian Federation, - Stoltenberg
NATO countries can decide on the application of article 5 of the charter of the Collective Defense Block in the event of serious cyber attacks on Russia's allies.
According to Censor.NET, referring to Interfax-Ukraine, the secretary-general of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said.
In an interview with the Axios media portal, in response to the lead question: "Can a Russian cyberattack lead to the application of Article five," E. Stoltenberg said: "Not automatically, it will depend on the nature of the cyberattack."
However, he noted that NATO had decided a few years ago to allow the application of the fifth article of the statute in case of serious cyberattacks.
"This applies not only to the use of conventional weapons but also cyber attacks," he explained, adding that "it is important that we have clearly stated the possibility, if necessary, of the application of Article 5, and that, at the same time, we are strengthening our cyber defense".
Article 5 of the NATO Charter stipulates that an armed attack on one or more member states will be considered an attack on them as a whole and they have the right to collective defense.

Sanctions against RF due to invasion of Ukraine - a way to demonstrate US dissatisfaction with non-civilized behavior, - Perry
The United States plans to bring Russia to justice because of the situation in Ukraine.
About this US energy minister Rick Perry told in an interview with the Russian edition of Kommersant, writes Censor.NET.
"The differences that exist between the United States and Russia are known to all. The United States has repeatedly toughened Russia's actions, in particular its invasion of Ukraine, and we consider this to be unacceptable, and we are concerned about transit issues (Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine - Ed.). obviously intends to punish Ukraine, "the minister said in response to a question that Moscow could make to avoid sanctions.
According to him, the USA is going to bring Russia to justice.
"Listen: we are citizens of the world. We are leaders in the energy sector." The United States can not say: "Do whatever you want us all the rest, the main thing is that we continue to make money." We will firmly defend the principles of civilized behavior. The invasion of the territory of a sovereign country - This is not a civilized behavior, and we have clearly made it clear (Sanctions - Ed.) - this is one of the opportunities to express dissatisfaction with such actions, as is the case with Russia's interference with the operation of the control centers of our power grids and the election, the US President recently signed an executive Ordinance, which clearly states: if you take unlawful actions against sovereign elections in the United States, this will not be without consequences, we warn about it directly and unequivocally, "Perry said.
At the same time, there are areas where the US can cooperate with Russia.
"Continuation of the dialogue in these areas can be a step towards significant improvement of US-Russian relations. Non-interference (on the part of Russia - Ed.) In (November - Ed.) Election (before the Congress - Ed.) Then send a signal. Minsk agreements (concerning the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas - Ed.) can send a signal. Thus, the lifting of sanctions is a long way, the more so that this would require Congress's consent, but the President of the United States and I personally are convinced that, that working relations between our countries have improved so that we can work together, "the minister explained.
In his opinion, the probability of imposing new sanctions on the Russian energy sector and the "North Stream-2" exists.

Ukraine to build naval base on Sea of Azov by year-end
Ukrainian government plans to create a naval base on the Sea of Azov by the end of 2018.
"This [the creation of the base] will lay the groundwork for repelling Russian aggression in that region," the government said on social media, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
Two armored artillery boats of the Ukrainian Navy were reportedly floated off the shores of the town of Berdiansk on Sept. 16.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko earlier warned that Russia's purpose is to occupy the Sea of Azov the same way it did Crimea.
"This is a brutal violation of international law, and we cannot tolerate it. We are strengthening our military footprint there and launching a case against Russia in the international Permanent Court of Arbitration. We have absolutely clear legal status in the Sea of Azov. Russia has no right to attack or stop our vessels, which carry goods and passengers from two important Ukrainian ports, Mariupol and Berdiansk. If Russia does not stop, we have only one instrument, which is sanctions," Poroshenko told The Washington Post in an interview published on Sept.13.

"This is another example of Russia's disinformation" - Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Great Britain on new "conclusions" of the Russian Federation regarding the disaster of MH17

"This is another example of Russia's disinformation" - Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Great Britain on new "conclusions" of the Russian Federation regarding the disaster of MH17
An announcement by the Russian Federation of the alleged Ukrainian origin of the "Buk" missile, which shot down the MH17 flight over the Donbas in 2014, suggests that Moscow has not abandoned its plans to exacerbate the situation.
According to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak at a briefing on the results of the meeting with British Defense Minister Gavin Williamson in Kiev on Monday, according to Cenzor.NET, referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
"This is another lie, this is another fate of the Russian Federation, which testifies that Russia has definitely not abandoned its plans to undermine the credibility of Ukraine, in order to undermine the situation as a whole, they need a reason to exacerbate the situation," Poltorak said.
In turn, the head of the British Defense Ministry added that an independent investigation was conducted, which showed who was involved in the attack on the Boeing aircraft of the Malaysian Airlines MH17 flight.
"This is another example of Russian disinformation," said Williamson.
Recall that this is not the first version of Russia, which is trying to take responsibility for the crime.
Four days after the tragedy, July 21, 2014, the Russian Ministry of Defense presented fake satellite photographs and charts that were supposed to prove that the plane had shot down a rocket from the Ukrainian "Buka".
The chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Lieutenant-General Andriy Kartopolov, demonstrated a "scheme" according to which the Malaysian aircraft allegedly fell into the zone of operation of the "Buk-M1" complexes of the Armed Forces.
The Bellingcat International Independent Group has proven that the "shots" of the Ukrainian "Buk" complex demonstrated by Russian security forces, allegedly recording its displacement on July 14 and 17, 2014, were fake, and images prepared by the Russian Ministry of Defense were edited in the photo editor.
In June 2015, a new fantastic version of the downfall of the liner has already been presented to the RF investigating committee. Russian law enforcement officials have stated the existence of a "key witness" - the "technique of ammunition", which claimed that Boeing was crippled by a shot of the Ukrainian Su-25 fighter.
According to the SCR, citizen of Ukraine Yevgeny Agapov allegedly testified that on July 17, 2014, after the lunch for a military task, the Ukrainian SU-25 air force flew Ukraine with pilot Vladislav Voloshin. The plane returned with an empty ammunition, and Voloshin, according to the Russian version, told his comrades that "the plane was not in that time and not in that place."
About the assassination of a passenger liner also reported Russian "First Channel". On the air, propagandists made a "sensational snapshot of the satellite" on which allegedly a Ukrainian fighter shot at Boeing.
Bellingcat analyzed the photo and found that it was nothing more than a collage from Google and Yandex-maps, and edited the images of the aircraft and fighter, superimposed on top.
In June 2015, the Russian concern Almaz-Antey, which produces anti-aircraft missile and radar equipment, unveiled its own "investigation", which states that the MH17 was really beaten up "beech" but old, and it is allegedly no longer on armed with the Russian army.
So, the head of "Almaz-Anteya" Jan Novikov and adviser of the General Designer of the Concern, Mykhailo Malyshevsky, said that Russia has not been equipped with a missile that rocked the plane since 1999, and Ukraine seems to have it. They also said that the missile was released allegedly from the territory under the control of the Ukrainian authorities.
New fantastic versions of the RF sounded despite the fact that in a number of international investigations earlier it was proved that the territory of the launch of the rocket was under the control of the separatists, and the "Beech" itself, according to investigators of the Netherlands, was brought from Russia.
One of the most fake versions of the Russian catastrophe is the history of the Spanish controller. On the day of the disaster, July 17, 2014, Russian propaganda media began to actively disseminate the message of the "Spanish manager" who told the Russian media that Ukrainian military aircraft were locked in close proximity to him a few minutes before the Boeing catastrophe.
False information was distributed by Spanish citizen José Carlos Barrios Sánchez. The man told journalists of Radio Liberty and RISE Project, who received $48,000 from Russia's Channel Russia for his tweet. In exchange for money, he led Twitter on behalf of the manager and wrote there pre-prepared reports, and also, declaring himself an expert on aviation, participated in the Russian TV show. He has never been to Ukraine, and in Spain and Romania men have been tried several times for fraud.
It is noteworthy that the fake about the Spanish manager was re-charged by Putin himself, who mentioned the fake of "Borispol's dispatcher", commenting on the catastrophe of MH17.
Recall that the Boeing 777 aircraft of the Malaysian Airways, which traveled from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down July 17, 2014 in the Toreza area (Donetsk region). As a result of the fall, 298 people died.
Censor.NET repeatedly reported on the investigation of the causes of the Boeing disaster of the MH17 flight, and also unveiled exclusive hangar photos and photographs of the elements of "Buk-M1-2", which appear in the materials of the criminal case. The prosecutor's offices in the Netherlands and Australia have prepared a very convincing evidence base. In particular, it was found that the elements that struck "Boeing" exactly coincide with the filling of the combat part of the most recent Russian anti-aircraft missile "Buk-M1-2". The "Buk-M-1-2" complex was developed in 1997, put into service by the RF Armed Forces in 1998 and never delivered to Ukraine. Also, independent experts from Germany, England and Poland, studied fragment fragments and made their point: it is part of the Russian missile "Buk". The modern chemical examination absolutely accurately established the composition of the metal, discovered the particles of the material of the sheath and the glass of the destroyed liner, which pierced these elements before striking people.
Also read: Putin himself said that nobody should be trusted, and I do not trust him in the case of MN-17, the prime minister of Australia
In November 2015, President Poroshenko during his visit to the Netherlands stated that Ukraine is using membership in the UN Security Council to investigate the Boeing tragedy of the MH-17 flight.
In May 2016, the Australian law firm LHD filed a lawsuit against Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on behalf of the relatives of the Boeing victims of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, shot down on July 17, 2014 over uncontrolled territories of eastern Ukraine parts of the country. The lawsuit, in which RF and V. Putin are identified as defendants and who claim compensation of $10 million for each passenger, was filed on May 9.
Last autumn, the International Investigation Team (JIT *) presented the findings that Malaysian "Boeing" was shot down by the "ground-air" missile from the "Beech" installation, which fired from the area of the Donbas town of Snizhne (which at that time was under the control of the DPR ") The investigation team is represented by five countries: Malaysia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia, Ukraine. Russia refused to participate in the joint investigation of the group.
On May 24, the International Joint Investigation Team informed that the MH17 flight over the occupied Donbas area on July 17, 2014 was shot down by the Buk missile system, which belongs to the 53rd Air Defense Forces missile defense team of the Russian Armed Forces, which is stationed in Kursk.

We are ready to accept all the bishops of the UOC-MP in the new Local Church, - Filaret

We are ready to accept all the bishops of the UOC-MP in the new Local Church, - Filaret
Filaret (Denisenko), the primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate, said that the principle of the UOC-KP is "no ours and yours, all ours."
It is reported by censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
Asked if there is a possibility that the governors of the Kiev-Pechersk and Pochayiv Lavra will move to the Ukrainian Church, Filaret declared that "is".
"If, for example, these governors will ask the Kiev Patriarchate, we will accept them." We plan that all the bishops of the MP and the UOC will remain in their places and with their parishioners: if a bishop came with half of his diocese - he will manage half, will pass with three hundred the parish - will be them and manage", - explained the patriarch.
He is also convinced that this will not cause conflicts between the hierarchs of the new church. "Already, in one territory, there exist the UAOC, the Moscow Patriarchate and the Kyivan Patriarchate, that is, three different churches, and if we are in a single church with one patriarch, then what might be the contradiction? Eventually, of course, everything can change, because this is the life of the church, but our principle is such - not ours and yours, all ours, "Filaret emphasized.
"They are not alien to us, they are for us. Everything that was before, whoever said anything, will all be rejected and forgotten", - said the patriarch.
Recall that on April 17, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced that he had decided to appeal to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with a request to give Tomas to the Ukrainian national autocephalous church.
On April 19, the Verkhovna Rada supported the address of President Poroshenko to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to grant the Ukrainian Orthodox Church an autocephaly.
On April 22, Poroshenko said that the Ecumenical Patriarchate began to consider the request of Ukraine.
In July, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew confirmed his intention to donate autocephaly to the Ukrainian church.
Earlier it became known that the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew appointed exarchs to provide autocephaly to the Ukrainian Church.
