British minister - EU: do not try to threaten us

British PM on Brexit Dominique Raab warned the European Union of attempts to force London to sign an exit agreement that would undermine the country's unity

"If the single proposal from the EU threatens the integrity of our Union, then we have no choice but to stay without an agreement," Raab said.

"It is unthinkable that this government or any British government, being intimidated by the threat of a certain economic embargo, has signed a unilateral agreement against the interests of our country," added Raab.

"It's hard for me to believe that they will try to punish Britain in such limited and counterproductive ways for narrow political ends," he said.

Britain must leave the European Union on March 29, 2019, but talks between London and Brussels on exit conditions are still ongoing.
