Amazon's founder of Jeff Bezos Blue Origin will work with the US Air Force. She has already received a $ 500 million contract
The contract is concluded for the construction of a New Glenn multiple rocket, writes Engadget.
It is planned that the new missile will be equipped with multiple first stage and will be able to bring about 50 tons of cargo to the near-Earth orbit, and to geosynchronous up to 14 tons.
Similar contracts have also been concluded with two other aerospace companies: the United Launch Alliance and Northrop Grumman. According to the publication, such a campaign is under the national program to refuse the use of foreign missiles.
"These contracts are of paramount importance to the US Air Force - their winners meet national security requirements." The state-US agreement with private US companies will allow them to get rid of their dependence on foreign missiles and, in the future, to release their own missile-launch vehicles, "the statement said.

Honored to be selected by @usairforce through the LSA acquisition. With this, we will pursue a Vandenberg launch site and gain certification for national security missions. Thrilled to leverage our commercial heavy-lift #NewGlenn launch vehicle for these important missions. pic.twitter.com/35OMPkAjuO
