Reuters reports.
"So far we are staying in Syria," Luiza said on CNEWS television channel, answering the questions of the presenter.
"It shows that we have different priorities and that we must first rely on ourselves," she added.
"To date, of course, we are staying in Syria, because the struggle against the" Islamic state "is very important," the minister emphasized.
At the same time, the minister did not specify the exact terms of stay of the French military in this country.
It should be noted that France is part of the United States-led international coalition, which opposes the terrorist organization of the Islamic state in Syria.
Recall that the White House confirmed the beginning of the withdrawal of US troops from Syria after President Donald Trump declared the US victory over the militants of the Islamic State in Syria.
