Russian banker Pugachev regrets that "brought Putin to power"

The founder of the bankrupt "Mezhprombank" Sergei Pugachev, Russia accused in criminal cases, the amount of damage which is a total of 100 billion rubles, said he regretted his involvement in the parish of the Russian President Vladimir Putin came to power, reports "Air Force" .
"I personally brought Putin to power. I worked on it day and night, nine months, "- he said in an interview with the British newspaper Financial Times.
According to Pugacheva, he was well acquainted with the daughter of the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin Tatyana Dyachenko and her husband Valentin Yumashev, who at the end of the 1990s as head of the presidential administration.
Ex-banker says that he first uttered the name Putin as Yeltsin's possible successor, and has inspired the early departure of the last as president. Putin seemed Pugachev far-sighted politician, but now he's changed his mind about the Russian leader.
"We needed someone who would be 24 hours a day engaged in the development of the country. [But] it is a sad story. I am horrified to himself, "- he said in an interview with Pugachev FT.
Pugachev lived for several years in the UK, but this summer he moved to France. In 2015, Russia submitted documents to the UK, demanding the extradition of the former head of the bank.
