The ranks of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" joined about two thousand Russians.
This was stated by the head of the Federal Agency for the Affairs of Nationalities Igor Barinov told the newspaper "Kommersant".
"We have, according to various estimates, about 2 thousand. People have already left Syria, Iraq, LIH" - said the master.
According to him, the agency is currently developing a scheme that can allow websites to track and media for propaganda of extremism, with a view to their subsequent locking.
Earlier, Secretary of the Russian Security Council said that the IG are fighting on the side of more than a thousand citizens of Russia, and the influx of volunteers in their ranks is impossible to stop.
