German lawmakers from the left-wing Die Linke party are not yet planning to visit Russia’s annexed territory of Crimea, MP from the Die Linke party Alexander Neu said on Monday, according to German news broadcaster Deutsche Welle.
The information about possible visit of the German lawmakers to Russia’s annexed peninsula following their French and Italian colleagues was initially spread by the Russian media on August 3.
According to Neu, his words from an interview with Russian newspaper Izvestia were misinterpreted.
According to him, he told about the possibility of discussing this issue at a faction meeting in the second half of this year, but he did not give "either positive, or negative answer."..........
