North Korea will create its own time zone

North Korean authorities announced the creation of its own time zone, reports The New York Times.
Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly decided to transfer local time on 30 minutes ago on August 15. On this day the country marks 70 years of the date of Korea's liberation from Japanese occupation.
Currently, North Korea is in the time zone of South Korea and Japan, which is 9 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time. As noted, after the transition to the new time, the country will return to the time zone in which lived before the occupation.
Earlier, North Korean authorities have moved the start of the working day at 5am state institutions.
