Recall that August 25 died American Republican senator John McCain. He was 81 years old.

On September 1, a national memorial service was held at the Washington Cathedral .

The ceremony and other mournful events were attended by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who went to the United States for a private visit.

McCain's funeral is scheduled for September 2 in Annapolis, Maryland.
