It is noted that now 49 people who appear in the American "List of Magnitsky" can not enter the territory of the Republic of Latvia.
The entry into the country was banned by the Speaker of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, the Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Republic Apti Alaudinov, the ex-assistant of the head of the republic Umar Sahaipov and the native of Chechnya, Kazbek Dukuzov, who is suspected of murdering journalist Paul Khlebnikov.
The "List of Magnitsky" contains a list of Russian officials involved in the violation of human rights, fraud and death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky.
Officials were banned from entering the US and imposing economic sanctions on them. The relevant law was subsequently adopted by the European Parliament, Switzerland and Canada. In response to sanctions Kadyrov has banned entry into Chechnya by five US and European Union representatives.
Recall that the US Department of the Treasury has introduced Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Chechnya, to the "Magnitsky List" . He is considered "responsible for extrajudicial executions, torture and other serious violations of human rights."
