Iraq refused to close airspace for Russian aircraft

Iraq has ignored the request of the United States to close the airspace of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Tasnim citing local media.
"Iraqi officials have ignored the request of Washington, to block Russia's ability to send planes to Syria through Iraqi airspace," - said in a statement.
It also reported that the US media reported that Washington failed to persuade Iraq to close its airspace to Russian aircraft bound for Syria.
US September 5 has asked Iraq to close the Russian transport aircraft corridor to Syria.
