Skype has gone down for many users across the globe today due to “an issue with the status settings,” according to the company.
Users are noting on Twitter that they are unable to log in, change their status or make and receive calls.
The company says that instant messages and Skype for Web are working fine and that it’s working to restore the rest of its service.

I had to issue today. I clicked on the blue circle on bottom right of my avatar/photo and changed the online settings there. It went around for a while, then was active. My wife did the same and it worked, after a while.
