"We have addressed the Americans with a proposal, announced yesterday by Vladimir Putin to the public, to send a delegation of military experts to Moscow to agree on a number of joint steps, after which we would be ready to send a high delegation led by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Washington. Today we have been told it is not possible to send the delegation to Moscow as well as to receive the delegation in Washington," Lavrov said.
As reported earlier, Vladimir Putin suggested Dmitry Medvedev as head of the delegation at the talks on Syria.
