Thousands of empty shoes replace marchers at cancelled climate protest in Paris (PHOTO)

Over 10,000 pairs of shoes have been placed in Paris's Place de la Republique over the weekend after a giant climate march was cancelled due to security fears.
The march which was expected to bring 200,000 people onto the streets of Paris was forbidden by French authorities in light of the attacks which took place in the city on November 13 and cost 130 lives.
Acting Executive Director of AVAAZ, one of the organisations behind the shoe installation said that although no march was going to take place in the capital, they were still underway all over the world.................
