US skeptical about the idea of frozen oil

Special adviser on international relations in the field of energy the US State Department, Amos Hochstein said the preliminary agreement in several countries to freeze the production of oil on the level of January 2016, reports RIA "Novosti".
"I am very skeptical about the idea of freezing. Iran has already said that they will not go along with this trend, so I think the idea is gone "- the official said on the sidelines of IHS CERAWeek.
He also said that the US government is in contact with both producing countries and consuming countries to oil.
"But in the end, we do not believe that the government should intervene to artificially regulate how much should be produced and how much should be export", - said Hochstein.
