Each American soldier must obey US President Donald Trump, US Navy Commander Admiral Scott Swift said. He added that he would carry out a nuclear attack on China if he received a corresponding order.
The US Navy's commander, Admiral Scott Swift, said he was ready to launch a nuclear strike at any time in China, if the US president, Donald Trump, would issue an order, reports Associated Press.
Swift July 27 spoke at a security conference at the Australian National University after extensive joint training in the United States and Australia. The training was controlled by a Chinese intelligence ship in the northeast of Australia.
Responding to the hypothetical question of whether he would carry out a nuclear attack on China next week, if Trump would order it, Swift said that "the answer would be" yes."
He reminded that every US military vowed to obey the president as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. According to him, loyalty to the president is "the main word for American democracy."
The training of the Navy of the United States and Australia involved 36 warships, including US aircraft carriers, as well as 220 aircraft and 33 thousand servicemen.
