Japan will have the right to hit the DPRK missiles aimed at Guam

The Japanese military will be given the right to shoot down North Korean missiles, which, as previously reported by Pyongyang, will be launched on the island of Guam.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Japan Yitsunori Onodera in the parliament, reports Reuters.

He said he would do it if the missiles were threatened by Japanese territories.

The reports note that the destruction of missiles is the position of the Japanese government.

At the same time, the Japanese self-defense forces are not currently able to intercept and destroy rockets of the Hwangon type, which the DPRK plans to attack Guam.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned North Korea that Washington would respond to new threats of "fire and rage".

In response, the DPRK has announced that they are considering the possibility of rocket attacks in the area of ​​Guam Island , where the US military base is located.

The Pentagon threatened the DPRK with a pre-emptive strike on launch sites for missiles in the North Korean territory.

The commander of the DPRK missile forces said that they intend to attack areas in the Pyongyang, adjacent to the base of the US Air Force in Guam.

The statement states that the DPRK missiles should fly over the territory of Japan and fall in 30-40 km from the US Air Force base.
