UN: Assad regime has organized 27 chemical weapons in Syria, including the use of sarin Empty UN: Assad regime has organized 27 chemical weapons in Syria, including the use of sarin

During the civil war in Syria, government forces used dozens of chemical weapons against the opposition forces, including the latest incident in Khan-Sheikhun, where the zarin poisonous substance was used.

This is with reference to the findings of investigators UN wrote to Reuters , informs Censor. NET.

"Government forces have repeatedly used chemical weapons against civilians in areas under the control of the opposition. The most brutal attack, during which the Syrian air force used a zarin in Khan Sheikhun, Idlib, took lives of dozens of people, most of whom were women and children," - stated in the UN, calling this incident a military crime.

Earlier, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has determined that sarin was used in Idliba, but did not indicate in the report who applied it.

The UN said that they had documented 33 chemical attacks in Syria, 27 of which had been organized by the Asad forces (7 chematacs took place between March 1 and July 7, 2017). Who is behind six attacks with chemical weapons in the early stages of the civil war - experts have not yet figured out.

Syrian authorities deny the use of weapons of mass destruction. In Khan Sheikhun, according to Damascus, there was supposedly such a scenario: the air strike of the coalition fell on the repository of poisonous matter of jihadists. The UN believes that this statement does not stand up to criticism.

Recall that at least 72 people were killed on April 4 as a result of a chemical attack on the town of Khan-Sheikhun in the northwest of Syria. On the night of April 6 to 7, the United States struck a strike at the Sheriff Air Force Base. US President Donald Trump called a missile strike for a chemical attack.
