Director Quentin Tarantino admitted he knew about the improper behavior of producer Harvey Weinstein, with whom he had been friends and worked for many years.
This is reported by The New York Times.
"I knew enough to do more than I did. These were not just ordinary rumors and ordinary gossip. I knew about a couple of cases when he was doing such things, "he said.
Tarantino also expressed regret that he did not take appropriate measures, knowing about Weinstein's behavior towards women.
"I'm sorry that I did not take responsibility for what I was aware of," said the director.
Earlier Tarantino said that he was "shocked and killed by grief" due to the fact that he became aware of the producer with whom he had been friends for more than 20 years, promising to later make a public statement about what happened.
The Miramax film studio, founded by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, has released most of Quentin Tarantino's famous films, including "Inglorious Wandering", "Criminal Reading," and "Kill Bill."
Weinstein was expelled from the British Academy of Cinema after the American newspaper New York Times unveiled material in which the producer was accused of sexual harassment.
Journalists wrote that Weinstein sought out young actresses and collaborators of his film company.
After publishing the New York Times, actresses Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow also accused Weinstein of harassing and telling when it was.
Later, Hollywood actress McGowon accused Weinstein of rape.
Currently, three new episodes of sexual harassment by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein are being investigated in Britain.
