Media learned about the deployment of US missile shield in Alaska
On November 2, an intercontinental ballistic missile intercept system was completed in the US state of Alaska.
This was reported by the online edition of Defense News with reference to the United States Missile Defense Agency.
"The agency and company Boeing have established the 44th interceptor in his mine in the complex of anti-missile defense in Fort-Griffin on Thursday, 2 November," - said there.
It is noted that this system is officially designed to protect against threats from Iran and the DPRK.
All 44 interceptors had to be installed and ready to confront threats by the end of 2017. At the same time, earlier the Pentagon proposed to increase financing of the project by 136 million dollars in order to increase the number of interceptors of this system from 44 to 64.
