French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer called for a discussion of the regulation of the e-currency Bitcoin at the next G20 Summit.
This was reported by Reuters, referring to the French channel LCI.
"I am going to invite the next country chairing the G20, Argentina, to discuss all issues of currency in Bitcoin at the G20 summit in April," he said.
The Minister also pointed to the "obvious danger of speculation" associated with cryptography.
"We have to review and analyze this issue and see how we, with all other G20 members, can regulate Bitcoin," he said.
Since the beginning of the year, prices for Bitcoin have increased by more than 1700%.
On December 16, Bitcoin cryptology with a value of $ 19,000 broke another record. In the EU, they announced that they would introduce an enhanced system of cybercurrency rules.
