Apple apologized for slowing down the old smartphone models

Apple, recently revealed in the deliberate slowing down of smartphones with an old battery, apologized for bringing down its customers and explaining why it's necessary to slow down the phones.

As expected, the slowing down of smartphones is to ensure that devices with worn-out batteries are not suddenly turned off by lack of power. The limitation is dictated by the chemistry of lithium-ion batteries, which eventually lose the ability to give the required amount of energy.

The company assured users that "it has never intentionally reduced and will not reduce the lifetime of their devices to increase sales."

In addition, Apple has offered to replace the batteries on iPhone 6 and later devices (including the iPhone SE) with a discount - for $ 29 instead of $ 79 between January and December 2018.

In early 2018, the company also intends to release a new version of iOS, which will allow users to monitor the state of the battery of the smartphone.

Earlier it was reported that Apple users in the United States filed lawsuits against the company because of deliberately slowing down the work of old models.

Apple acknowledged deliberately slowing down the work of the old iPhone . The company said it really slows down some of the models, as it is needed to extend the battery life of the phone, which eventually wears out.
