Turkey has waged war against US allies: there are first victims

The Turkish General Staff officially announced the start of the Olive Branch operation against the Kurdish formations in Syria's Afrin.

It is noted that the operation involved the detachments of the Syrian opposition, supported by the Armed Forces of Turkey.
Also, Turkish Prime Minister Bina Yildirim said that Turkish aviation would bomb Kurdish observatories in northern Syria.
Nine people were killed as a result of the bombing of the Turkish Air Force Syrian district of Afrin. This was announced on Saturday by Sky News Arabia , referring to the statement of the People's Self-Defense Forces (SNA) units operating in the region.
"As a result of the Turkish bombing of air in Africa, six civilians and three Kurdish self-defense detainees were killed," the statement read.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey announced on Saturday that Operation Olive Branch was launched against the Kurdish forces from the People's Self-Defense Forces and the Democratic Union (DS) in the Afrin area.
Another operation in Manbidzhi, located next, according to Erdogan, will begin shortly. Erdogan did not specify whether this means that the Turkish troops crossed the border with Syria, reports Radio Liberty .
As the NTV channel, referring to military sources, transports tanks of the Turkish armed forces to Afrin.
Syrian opposition and Turkish tanks have already destroyed "artillery targets at the border of the region."
Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Nuretti Janikli said Turkey was launching an operation against US-backed Kurds in the Syrian region of Afrin. According to him, the "de facto" operation began on January 19 on shelling of Syrian territory, which the Turkish military carried out from Turkey.
Gianikli said that Ankara had "no choice" because he had to clear Northern Syria, which borders on Turkey, against "all terrorist elements."
